Το ΚΕ.ΜΕ New York College (NYC) ιδρύθηκε το 1989 σε συνεργασία με το κρατικό  πανεπιστήμιο της Νέας Υόρκης, State University of New York, Empire State College και στη συνέχεια επέκτεινε τις ακαδημαϊκές συνεργασίες του στην Ευρώπη, με την σύναψη στρατηγικής συνεργασίας με το University of Greenwich, Μ. Βρετανίας.  Σήμερα, το NYC αποτελεί έναν όμιλο εκπαιδευτικών ιδρυμάτων ο οποίος μέσω των ακαδημαϊκών συνεργασιών του με αναγνωρισμένα Αμερικανικά και Ευρωπαϊκά πανεπιστήμια, προσφέρει υψηλής ποιότητας πολυπολιτισμική εκπαίδευση, σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο, σε ένα πλήθος ειδικοτήτων σε Αθήνα, Θεσσαλονίκη και Πράγα.  Οι φοιτητές του NYC αποκτούν τα αυθεντικά πτυχία των συνεργαζόμενων πανεπιστημίων που πληρούν τα κριτήρια της Ευρωπαϊκής Οδηγίας (36/05) για την ισοτιμία των επαγγελματικών δικαιωμάτων των αποφοίτων μας.

Το NYC διαθέτει πιστοποίηση από το British Accreditation Council, (BAC). Όλα τα προγράμματα σπουδών και τα αντίστοιχα πτυχία είναι πιστοποιημένα και αναγνωρισμένα από τους αντίστοιχους κρατικούς φορείς, ενώ τα βρετανικά και αμερικανικά πτυχία αναγνωρίζονται επιπλέον και από το NARIC, το βρετανικό οργανισμό αντίστοιχο του ΔΟΑΤΑΠ.

To NYC έλαβε Άδεια Ίδρυσης και Λειτουργίας από το Υπουργείο Παιδείας ΔΒΜΘ ως Κέντρο Μεταλυκειακής Εκπαίδευσης, ΦΕΚ 1302 Β, 18.8.10 (Αθήνα) και ΦΕΚ 1320 Β, 27.8.10 (Θεσσαλονίκη).
